Styling a little girls room

The idea here is to add creative touches that can inspire and captivate your audience. Lets take this space and transform it. First, remove everything except for the bed. Add some wall hooks for pictures, if the pictures are light, you can use plastic removable hooks, with sticky backing. Vacuum and clean the area, ready for staging.

A little girls dream room

Get a nice light coloured headboard and side table. Put on a double or queen size pretty light pastel blanket so it touches the floor, add matching pillows and cushions to add some depth. You can add a few decorations or sweet looking cuddly toys. Try to avoid child hood favorite toys that may look old and worn. Hang a few pictures with soft colours or one medium sized picture. Add a dresser and chair to finish off the beautiful corner and the design looks like it is styled for a princess!

DECLUTTER DECLUTTER DECLUTTER!!!

I am grateful to this home owner that offered to let me take some before and after photos. The truth of the matter is, homes aren't always empty when we get to them. A big part of home staging is helping the customer to see the benefit of what we do and why it is so important and also, going to add value to their home.

After a good clean!

This home was only a partial stage, but look at the difference. The biggest thing, before we get to do our part is removing all the clutter, it is well worth getting a skip bin or a storage unit or both. It is amazing how many things we can accumulate over the years. Look at the difference, it speaks for itself!

Prep, Plaster, Prime & Paint!

What a difference a little bit of paint makes!
Remove all the clutter, give it a good scrub and clean. Now prep, plaster, sand, prime & paint. Even if its just touch ups, its important to get the colour match correct. This can be done by your local handyman/painter. or DIY if you are are good with a paint brush. Don't skip any stages. If there are frame hooks & nail holes, paint chips or uneven surfaces etc. fill the holes with filler, sand back, prime & paint. Now the only thing you should add is a pretty soap with dish or pump, & fresh towels, you can add one or two pieces like a Jug, vase or something to that effect that will work in that space. forget bath mats & toilet mats for the photo shoot. Now, enjoy the clean crisp feel. We have trades we work with if you would like to get a quote, give us a call, and take the stress out of moving.
